You don’t have to spend your entire paycheck just to keep your face clean and clear. You wear it every day, so it’s only normal that you want to find natural ways to look after your skin.

  1. Close Those Pores

Do you have pores like dinner plates? There’s nothing worse than leaving the house thinking everyone is looking at the size of your pores. We all have that worry, plus, when your pores are wide open they’re just attracting all the bacteria and germs. Which is going to lead to terrible skin and acne. All you need now… an apple! Cut your apple (green or red) into thin slices and then place them on your face for 15 minutes. The apple slices will soak up all that extra oil and close those pores.

Sadly, big pores and blackheads tend to go hand in hand. But, blackheads don’t need to stick around. Want them gone? Check this out! Create a paste using lemon juice and the juice of a cucumber (equal parts). You can then apply your fresh paste to your neck and your face before you hop in the bath (or a shower, just keep the water away from your face). Let it sit for ten minutes and then wash it off. You can use this regularly. It’s wiser to do this before bed, as you don’t want to go into the sun after applying a citric juice. Don’t forget your sunscreen!

Grab yourself some sea salt, you will need a carrier oil (like sweet almond), and fresh lime juice. Mix it all together and apply it with a cotton ball (or just your fingers). Rub it on your face to remove dead skin cells. You may also find that it helps reduce the appearance of pimple scars. Create a paste from fresh cucumber and mix it with a bit of raw milk. You can apply this paste to your face and you should give it at least 15 minutes on your skin. Then you can rinse it off using fresh, warm water. It’s a great way to soften and soothe your skin. It’s great for your face, but you can use this elsewhere, too.

  1. The Power of Tomatoes

Okay, tomatoes are packed with antioxidants. You can mash up a tomato and apply it directly to your face. You can rinse it with cold water after 20 minutes. Or, you can make a paste to use on your face daily. What tomatoes are great for is treating oily skin. It’s acidic (which is why it gives you heartburn when you eat it) and they are also cooling. So, a tomato pulp is an excellent way to rid yourself of excessive facial oil and balance your skin. For reducing oil, apply the pulp and give it 15 minutes to soak in and dry. Then you can rinse it off with warm water.
